The African Union will convene a head of state and government level meeting January 17 to deliberate on the Democratic Republic of the Congo disputed elections results. The high-level meeting in Addis Ababa is notable as such a specific agenda is a rare event for the continental institution, signifying the importance given to geopolitical developments underway in the Congo.
